1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions apply to customers, property owners, administrators, installers, invited users, guests, and other people who access or use the WIFIGATE website, mobile app, WIFIGATE device, controller, or related access-control features.
By accessing or using any part of the WIFIGATE system, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website, app, device, or related access-control features.
2. Website Use
The website provides general product, marketing, and support information about WIFIGATE and related services.
Website content may not always be complete, current, or error-free, and may change without notice.
Website content is not a substitute for professional installation, safety, legal, electrical, regulatory, or property-specific advice.
3. Mobile App Use
The mobile app may allow admins and users to manage access, open gates, invite guests, review access history, and configure certain features.
Each user is responsible for protecting their phone, app access, passcodes, biometric access, permissions, and any other method used to open or manage access through the app.
Admins are responsible for granting, removing, and reviewing access permissions correctly, and users must invite only guests who are authorized to access the relevant property, gate, or shared area.
By using the mobile app, you agree that you will not use the WIFIGATE mobile app while driving any vehicle. If you need to manage access, stop first and use the app only when it is lawful and safe to do so.
4. Local Connection and Device Availability
WIFIGATE may depend on local communication between the mobile app and the WIFIGATE device. Functionality may depend on phone compatibility, app permissions, wireless signal quality, device proximity, power supply, and local conditions.
WIFIGATE does not guarantee that access will always be available, instant, or uninterrupted. Access may fail or be delayed because of phone settings, weak signal, disabled permissions, low battery, power loss, hardware issues, incorrect setup, or environmental conditions.
5. WIFIGATE Device and Installation
The WIFIGATE device must be installed, wired, configured, and tested correctly. Customers and installers are responsible for confirming compatibility with the relevant gate, door, barrier, lock, or access-control system.
Where electrical, safety, or regulatory requirements apply, installation should be performed by a qualified person.
The customer is responsible for testing the system after installation, after device configuration changes, and after software updates. Incorrect installation or configuration may cause the system to fail, behave unexpectedly, or affect the connected gate system or access-control system.
6. Physical Gate and Safety Responsibility
WIFIGATE may trigger a relay, button input, or access-control signal connected to a gate, door, barrier, lock, or similar system.
WIFIGATE does not replace safety sensors, obstruction detection, emergency release mechanisms, manual overrides, professional gate controllers, or legally required safety systems. It should not be used as the only safety mechanism.
WIFIGATE is not an emergency, life-safety, medical, fire-safety, or guaranteed-security system. The customer and installer are responsible for safe use and for compliance with local electrical, safety, property, and access-control rules.
7. Security and Access Responsibility
WIFIGATE uses reasonable security measures, but no access-control system is completely secure.
Users must protect phones, app access, admin permissions, guest invitations, access links, QR codes, tokens, and any other access method used by the system. Admins must promptly remove users or guests who should no longer have access.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WIFIGATE is not responsible for unauthorized access caused by user negligence, shared devices, compromised phones, exposed invitations, incorrect permission management, or improper installation.
8. Access History, Logs, and Privacy
WIFIGATE may collect, store, or display access events, device status, user, admin, and guest information, invitation data, diagnostic information, and technical logs.
Depending on the implementation, data may be stored locally on the mobile device, on the WIFIGATE device, or using another product-specific storage method used by the system.
Please also review the WIFIGATE Privacy Policy and Cookies page for more detail about data handling and website storage practices. This Terms page is not a full privacy notice.
9. Payments, Plans, and Commercial Terms
Certain features, products, hardware, services, or future plans may be offered for free or for a fee. The website may describe current products without recurring subscription fees, but separate charges may still apply for hardware, installation, support, replacements, optional services, or future paid offerings if introduced.
Prices, taxes, delivery terms, scope of work, cancellation terms, and any refund rights will be determined by the specific offer, invoice, order, or written agreement that applies to the relevant purchase or service.
Unless WIFIGATE expressly states otherwise in writing, it may change pricing, packaging, free features, or commercial terms in the future. Website content alone does not create a binding commitment to provide any product, feature, or service at a specific price or on a specific timeline.
10. Software Updates and Product Changes
WIFIGATE may release updates to the website, mobile app, device software, features, design, or product behavior. Updates may improve, modify, add, limit, or remove functionality.
Customers are responsible for testing the system after relevant updates. WIFIGATE does not guarantee that every feature, design element, or product behavior will remain available forever.
11. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the WIFIGATE website, mobile app, WIFIGATE device, controller, and related materials are provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis.
WIFIGATE does not guarantee uninterrupted operation, perfect security, successful access every time, prevention of unauthorized entry, error-free logs, or compatibility with every phone, gate system, access-control system, or installation environment.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WIFIGATE and EATS SYSTEMS TECH will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or related to the website, app, device, controller, installation, access attempt, or use of the system.
This includes, without limitation, claims relating to property damage, access failure, unauthorized access, installation errors, gate malfunction, loss of data or logs, loss of business, interruption of operations, or personal injury. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. User Responsibilities
You agree to use WIFIGATE lawfully, safely, and responsibly. You must not:
- Use WIFIGATE for illegal access, unauthorized entry, trespass, harassment, or unsafe operation of a gate, door, barrier, lock, or access system.
- Attempt to bypass, disable, damage, overload, misuse, reverse engineer, or interfere with the WIFIGATE website, mobile app, WIFIGATE device, controller, or related features, except where a restriction is not permitted by law.
- Share access methods carelessly, leave admin permissions unmanaged, or allow use of the system in a way that creates avoidable safety or security risk.
- Rely on WIFIGATE as the sole method of emergency access, emergency exit, or property safety control.
- Use the WIFIGATE mobile app while driving, operating machinery, or in any situation where phone use could create a safety risk.
14. Updates to These Terms
WIFIGATE may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will apply when published on this page or otherwise made available with the product.
Continued use of the website, app, device, or system after an update means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the affected services or product features.
